Next year, a single family court will supersede the current 3-tiered system, which will speed up cases and improve procedures for families going through divorce, separation and child legal issues.
Major Family Law are one of the leading family law practices in the North East, with principle solicitor Joanne Major being the only family lawyer in this area of the country to be listed individually in the Legal 500’s Leading Individuals in Legal Practice table. The rest of the firm’s solicitors are also highly regarded in the legal rankings, each achieving personal recognition within the system.
Earlier this month, Major Family Law were showcased in an article from the North East Times, further cementing their position as the best family law practice in the North of the country. In addition to providing exceptional and professional support and guidance to their clients, a handful of Major’s solicitors are also trained in the innovative and forward-thinking process of collaborative law, designed to promote separation with dignity outside of the courts. They are part of only a handful of collaborative lawyers in Newcastle, and Major’s reputation and sensitive approach to difficult cases has pushed them to the forefront of North East family law.
The pro-active and sharp nature of the team at Major Family Law means that they won’t need to cope with the influx of changes in the family law legal system, as they already have the processes and procedures in place to deal with complex cases and new law practice methods. In addition to the changes expected in the family law courts, there are a number of other reformations that could significantly change the face of the system.
